Do I have to be paid for projects through my IT-HUB account?
No, you can get paid directly by the other person. It's just more convenient for you to use the IT-HUB payment system. Note that you will still need to deposit money in your account to cover the commission we charge for completed projects.

When do you charge your commission and how much will it be?
As soon as you are chosen as the programmer for a project you have bid on it will be closed/archived and you will be charged 5% of your bid, or £5, whichever is greater.

Do I have to add money to my account?
Not right away, but eventually you will probably have to. If your account balance is below zero dollars for more than 30 days your account will be frozen. You will not be able to place any new bids on projects.

How do I add money to my account?
Login to the account management area and click on the "deposit" button.

Can I withdraw money from my account?
Yes, just click the "withdraw money" button in the account management area. You can currently request a check to be sent to you, a money wire, or receive payment through a PayPal account. Note that you cannot withdraw less than £30.00 at a time.

Can I transfer money to another Programmer on IT-HUB?
No, there should be no need to pay other programmers.

If I end up charging the project owner less than I bid on their project, can I get a partial refund on the commission IT-HUB takes?
Unfortunately, no.

How long does it take for you to send a withdrawal?
PayPal and E-Gold withdrawals are processed within 3 business days. Check and bank wire: 1-2 times a week (at beginning and end of week). Please do not contact us to ask when your withdrawal will be processed, we are very busy. Thank you.

When do I have to pay the project fee?
The fee is automatically deducted from your IT-HUB account, no matter what your balance is at the time. You can deposit money into your account later to cover the fee. If your account remains below zero dollars for 30 days, it will be suspended.

Can I make a deposit or withdrawal using a method not described on IT-HUB?
No. At this time we only accept deposits by check/cash, credit card, paypal, e-gold, and bank wire payment; We only process withdrawals using check, paypal, e-gold and bank wire payment. Other payment methods, such as Western Union are being reviewed and might be added in the future. If you have suggestions, you can contact us and we will consider it. We will not make exceptions for individual cases; If we accept or send money using different methods, it will be available to all members of the site.

Why are PayPal withdrawals not instant?
Because PayPal payments cannot be sent using server side software (it must be done manually by a person). Even if PayPal did make such a system possible, IT-HUB would probably not use it because of the security issue involved.
